KATHMANDU: A two-day exhibition on the life of the Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota and different aspects of his literary creation is going to be organised in Beijing, China, from September 7.
Secretary at the Devkota-Lu Xun Pragya Pratisthan, litterateur Hari Govinda Luintel, said that around 40 flex boards, three dozens of books, articles written on Devkota in different newspapers, 23 paintings as well as a documentary based on the life of Devkota would be included in the exhibition.
A team of the Devkota-Lu Xun Pragya Pratisthan is leaving for Beijing on September 5 upon the invitation of Beijing Lu Xun Museum for the same.
Pratisthan Chairperson Ninu Chapagain would lead the team comprising Rambabu Subedi, Ranendra Baraili, Hari Govinda Luintel, Krishna Prasain, Matrika Pokharel, Mahesh Paudyal and Jeevan Sharma.
On the occasion, a special discussion would be held regarding mutual relations of the two countries, on the occasion of the completion of 60 years of establishment of Nepal-China diplomatic relations.
An international seminar about Devkota and famous Chinese writer, Lu Xun, would also be organised. Similarly, Chinese litterateurs as well as Ninu Chapagain and Rambabu Subedi would present working paper.
Chapagain and Paudyal are scheduled to address a programme to be held at Renmin University in Beijing on September 9.
